Solo acting consists of the ability to portray one or more characters in convincing and creative way.

Physical characterization include a walk, a stance, a stare, a glare or even a bad habitat.  Even though space is limited:

  1. Height differences - can suggest sitting, climbing, or leaning.
  2. Facial expression - can alter emotional responses.
  3. Meaningful gestures - can enhance personality traits.

Single character portrayal demands the same versatility as multiple portrayal.  In both, the ability to believably convey the character's life experiences rest on real life observations, careful script analysis and experimentation.

Vocal variation can be achieved through changes in pitch, accent, pacing and quality.
